Oh and Silas, her Lanturn, is in the pokeball she's holding since I couldn't figure out how to incorporate a fish. ^^;

I kind of went a little crazy on this one. But' I'm super proud of it. I hope the pokemon are recognizable. I may have tweaked 'em here or there (especially Lucas as I can not stand the plank-like wings they give them in the games). I've learned one thing while drawing this

Pokemon have no sense of anatomy.

They just don't make sense. |D

Anyway, Laurie belongs to :iconeruanna-lancaeriel:

I do believe this would be the quality I'd give could I do commissions. *ponders*

PS To :iconeruanna-lancaeriel:, I'm sincerely sorry if I screwed up Laurie's outfit or hair or anything. I didn't realize until I was already done that her boots were probably more combat and less designer. I'll redo it if you want though it will probably look... off. Sorry again. ^^;

Aww *hugs* I really hope that doesn't happen. Doesn't your teacher have any suggestions? Also couldn't you consider doing commissions? I know you don't feel like your art is that good, but I think so, and I'm sure other folks would feel that way too. *hugs*

I haven't asked my teacher yet. I will though, thanks for the idea.

I don't think I could make enough with commissions even if there were a lot of interest. I'd have to make around $180 a week to make what I'd make at a minimum wage job and I just don't think I could do it, especially with the limited amount of interested people. But I am giving them a try for Justin's birthday gift. =)

But thanks Indy, somehow chatting with you always makes me feel a little bit better.

I really like all the Pokemon, and how you can see their personalities in their expressions and body language.

The background could use a little work, though? The trees kind of make me think of cotton balls. >3>;;

I think the dust is a little too solid, too.

Really like the trainer's outfit and pose - her head seems a little off, though. Off-kilter somehow. Could just be the hair making me think that, though.

Overall, I can tell it took forever and it's amaaazing. <33333

Why is something as simple as dust so durn difficult to draw. I mean, really. But practice makes perfect.

As for my background- I hate my trees. XD I liked them at one point but instead of walking away I kept working on 'em and turned them into, well, cotton ball trees. :giggle: Love that term by the way. But my backgrounds are getting a little better slowly but surely.

I think it's the hair and I may have tried a little too hard to make her less cartoony. I need to come to terms that cartoon-type style is forever ingrained in my style.
I can't take credit for her outfit, since it's :iconeruanna-lancaeriel:'s design but it was fun to draw. ^^

I think a lighter color might have helped, along with some dusty specks in there and faded parts? O:

A.)FIRST of all, you really helped me out through Neopets, and I got to know you really well as a friend. SECOND of all, I love your artwork. It's a sight for sore eyes. :)
B.)Hmm...I can think of tons of things to associate with you, but I can't think of a specific at the moment. ^^;
C.)I like your originality. You express your ideas cleverly, AND your super-nice and helpful with art/website stuff.
D.)I remember when we were talking about Oklahoma and the South in general, and you brought up how you were part Cherokee. :)
E.)Gosh, I really have nothing right now to ask you. Oh wait...when did you first start learning to use a wacom tablet?
