Well, I'm a bit more happy but still feeling slightly depressed for no reason. I can't shake the feeling and it's bugging me.

I've noticed a lot of my friends' birthdays are coming up and a few have just past. I have a lot of birfday sketchin' to do. XD

So, Justin and I decided that maybe a dog wasn't the best for us right now. We thought about getting a cat. I think the decision was heavily influenced by the fact that we had just watched The Cat Returns (awesome movie- watch it asap. I recommend the english version as it has some of my favorite actors in it like Anne Hathaway, Cary Elwes, AND Tim Curry). Anyway, so I'm watching TV and I hear a noise from outside. I think it's Phelix, our resident squirrel so I open the door to check and in walks this little white and tanish kitten like it owns the place, sits down, and meows as if saying 'I heard you wanted a cat. Here I am!'

We decided to keep her and she's already litter trained. Justin named her Waffles. I don't know why but if we get another pet we're going to name it Pancakes. XD

I've been working on a reference page for Linn now for ages. But I've just felt so.... blah. If Justin ever sets up the scanner again you can look forward to a HUGE sketch dump though.

So I had Marty for 3 days and it turns out he gets Parvo. I had to take him back to the shelter because I hadn't technically adopted him yet.

He didn't make it.

Apparently I can't make a pet last for more than a week. The kitten Justin and I got a couple years ago (Tux) died mysteriously after a few days too.

...

God forbid I ever have kids.

Well, our little family got a bit bigger yesterday. Meet Marty!

We're fostering him from a kill shelter in Siloam Springs, AR. We're sending in the adoption fee on Friday probably as he is a complete sweetheart. The guy at the shelter actually said if we weren't happy with him and brought him back they'd probably put him down or put down another dog to make more room for him. I was horrified! @^@ That's of course not why we're keeping him but still. What a horrible thing to say. If any of you live nearby I highly recommend stopping by that shelter- there were so many wonderful dogs!

However- he has been trowing up since I brought him home. Once last night with some food and then again this morning with water. If anyone may know whats causing this I'd love some advice. I don't think it's serious enough for a vet yet. I'm a bit out of practice since I haven't had a pet in about 5-6 years. He's been rather active though, we spent an hour at the park with his new-found friend Maya- a doberman/Chihuahua mix my friend adopted yesterday as well. XD

Anyway, we're going to petco today to find out about training classes! I'm so excited!

This journal will be short because, despite the journal header, I smashed my finger (the pinky of my right hand to be exact) pretty badly this morning and using my hand at all really hurts. I hate hunt and pecking though. XD

Anyway!

Good thing #1
- I gots a new job!! I now work in Medical Information and Records. My job is tedious but easy and I work the morning shift which is admittedly good and bad. Good because I get off at 4:30 in the afternoon and have the rest of the day to myself. Bad because Justin works the evenings and we have to share a car. :> I've been having to go to bed early though which I am NOT used to. XD

Good thing #2
- We're moving! It's a really cute 2 bedroom place that (for a fee of $300.00) allows dogs! We've already started looking at petfinder.com! Also we're going to have an entire room for D&D which just brings our geekness to epic levels.

Good thing #3
- Well, I've already ruined it but, we're soon getting a dog! OMG! I cannot explain how excited I am!

Okies, I have got to pack my laptop soon and we wont have internet at the new place until Tuesday so excuse my further absense.

Also, art will be delayed further as well as my finger hurts real bad. :< This is mostly for one person in particular *coughIISJAHcough*
